Turn it from a potential argument into something playful, lol. He's just being jealous ??
I?m glad you guys got a good one
Not at all, it just meant: Christian poetry is a contribution to poetry, Christian philosophy a contribution to philosophy, etc.
I never let people know.
Thanks I stand corrected. But my point still stands.
Mutilating a child in any way is child abuse
Goddidit only once, planted the seed and allowed it to grow. What grew from the seed is not coming from God, ultimately speaking, it continues to develop according to success of a species according to environmental conditions.
Good morning Alan! It's always a pleasure to see you!
False. Of course, you were there 24/7/365 to observe everywhere on the earth all of the time to be able to really "know" this, right? LOL!
"but the hookup potential is always oversold."
Hmm...I like them shut, because I feel like it's a barrier between me and any danger lurking. They could easily unlock my door with anything resembling the end of a flathead, but I still lock my door. I guess I hope I'd hear the door open if someone was coming in my room.
People always like to pigeon-hole and compartmentalise others, that way they can create borders, barriers and restrictions. It also means they can then blame others for their own shortcomings.
This is one of the most obvious straw men that I've seen so far. You don't address anything I say with any substance, merely declaring "sorry that's not true". First off, yes, it is the case in Europe. I have read accounts from Muslims who left the faith, in a European context. There's a book I can recommend to you if you want, which addresses this topic. The man is literally ostracized from family and friends, as he feared throughout the process of leaving the faith.
Oil would Sir Tainly be a high-probability indicator of life...
I'm not a sinner. I've not violated any religious rules because religious rules have no authority over me.
They're not debating; they're merely asserting a position, and walking away. In an actual debate, they'd be forced to forfeit.
"whom he told go and sell all that you have, and give it to the poor and then come and follow me"
An atheist cannot claimthat slavery is bad.
They don't for any actual profit they make, but since they're non-profit organizations, I an't imagine that would be much. Unless you're talking about 'mega-fundamentalist-mega-churches, of course, which aren't biblical based at all. No more than atheists who cherry pick bible verses to support their posistions.
You have an opinion. I have an opinion. You seem intent on making yours known while pretending that mine is irrelevant. I suffer fools poorly. Carry on, son.
No, they aren't evidence. THey're arguments. Arguments of why they believe in Santa. Anecdote. But as stated before, that isn't evidence.
i cant find that book on google got a link?
"This is just a silly assertion. Freedom of religion and freedom of speech and not the same thing just because they're enumerated in the same amendment. Freedom of speech was written specifically to give the right to publicly challenge one's government without fear of reprisal. At no point did it cross over to include knocking on someone's door at 9am on a Saturday to tell them about the 'good news.' That's not free speech. That's trespassing."
